Scriptural Explorations 2010
Scriptural Explorations are multi-faith meetings at which selected scripture texts from three faiths, relating to the chosen theme, are presented briefly and discussed. In a set of three meetings, texts from 9 faiths can be presented, ie Baha’i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jain, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, and Zoroastrian texts. The theme in June 2010 was ‘Death’ .
Separate afternoon and evening sets of meetings took place as follows. Click for details and texts.
Tuesdays 2.30 – 4.30pm 15, 22, and 29 June
Thursdays 7.00 – 9.00pm 17 and 24 June and 1 July

Notes:
- Presenters from the 9 faiths were invited to attend all three meetings in a set.
- Presenters were encouraged to bring one or two others with them.
- Each presenter selected and presented one or more texts from their scriptures related to the theme.
- Each meeting was planned for 2 hours, with texts presented from 3 faiths on each occasion.
- A 10-minute period was available for each presenter. That left a further 20 minutes for questions and discussion on each presentation and a further 30 minutes for general discussion.
- Copies of English translations of the chosen texts were available for all participants.
